Prior Scientific will be at the MMC 2015 next week

Prior Scientific is attending the MMC 2015 show next week to showcase some of the automation and illumination solutions we provide, including the well plate loader which allows automatic loading of samples onto inverted microscopes. If you have any questions about Prior products, or wish to discuss your requirements with us, please visit stand number 511. Furthermore, we will […]

Stage extension wings now available

Available as a pair, our stage extension wings give end users the ability to increase the space on their inverted stages; thus allowing the creation of more elaborate and complex experimental set ups. The 6 mm tapped holes allow the mounting of equipment, such as our micromanipulators.

Prior Scientific is attending the Festival of NeuroScience

The British Neuroscience Association’s Festival of Neuroscience is taking place in Edinburgh next week. We’ll be displaying several pieces of precision equipment ideal for electrophysiology and neuroscience, including the Lumen 1600, the Z-Deck and micromanipulators.  We’d welcome the opportunity to talk to you about your research, requirements, and how Prior products can help you.

Illumination range extended

Small and compact, the Lumen 100 offers powerful, precise and high quality LED illumination. Producing minimal vibration and heat, allowing the unit to be directly coupled to a microscope for maximum light transmission, the LED can be switched on, off or adjusted in intensity within milliseconds. Control via USB or the unit itself is possible. […]

Introducing the New OptiScan III Control System

The OptiScanTM III is the latest release of the popular OptiScanTM system from Prior Scientific, and is an affordable yet accurate stage and focus controller, ideal for routine microscopy procedures requiring high precision. The next generation of the OptiScanTM is able to control both a Prior motorised stage and the focus of the microscope, via a motorised focus drive, stand or axis, […]

Z-Deck featured in Biophotonics Magazine.

The article, entitled “Multiphoton Microscopy is heading for the Mainstream” covers how multi-photon microscopy, using a Z-Deck from Prior Scientific, is used to examine how neural cells in rodent brains rewire and reconfigure themselves. The article is in our ‘Application Notes’.

Prior Scientific is attending Neuroscience 2014

Prior Scientific will be attending the Neuroscience 2014 in Washington DC 15-19 November. Organised by the Society for Neuroscience, this is one of the largest neuroscience conferences in the world and over 30,000 people are expected to attend. We’ll be at booth # 2414, so please feel free to come along and discuss your requirements. […]

Improved Multi-stain Testing With The Lumen 300-LED

The Lumen 300-LED broad spectrum illumination system has an additional capability which allows the user to combine single and multi-stain testing to achieve superior results. This is not possible with other broad spectrum illuminators. While the Lumen 300-LED delivers a wide spectral outputcovering most filters sets, its intuitive manual control pod allows the user to select and adjust the […]
