The H100A compact motorized stage for upright microscopy is the most affordable stage in Prior’s ProScan range. It offers similar accuracy and repeatability as the higher-end models and is the most accurate, non-encoded, compact stage available on the market.
It features 1 mm ball screws and a 200-step motor to balance speed with accuracy and has a top velocity of 30 mm/s, together with a resolution of 0.02 µm. The stage incorporates Prior’s patented Intelligent Scanning Technology (IST), which optimizes accuracy and linearity to achieve a metric accuracy below 0.09 µm/mm, with repeatability as good as 0.7 µm. H100A is suitable for high-magnification white light and fluorescence microscopy, as well as having the necessary performance for higher-end techniques such as confocal microscopy.
Although manufactured as a ProScan stage, which enables it to have this high specification, for basic and budget-sensitive applications, the H100A can be operated (at a lower performance level) with a Prior OptiScan controller instead of the larger and slower ES111.
With its compact size and low mass, the H100A was designed to be compatible with smaller microscopes, such as the Nikon Ci, the Evident BX43, and the Motic BA310. In addition to these specific frames, the stage is also well-suited to microscopes from many major brands, including Zeiss and Leica.
Due to its size and thickness, it is also easily integrated into OEM instruments. The H100A is ideal for designers wanting to upgrade a product with motorization or needing to replace a lower-performance stage without performing a wider system redesign.
Prior offers a range of sample holders for different sample types, such as slides, filter papers, PCBs, or culture dishes. The stage has a 75 mm x 50 mm XY travel range, and typical applications include single-slide scanning, industrial inspection, particle analysis, and microscopy education.
